Introduction
The Synchrotron Radiation Research Theory Network (SRRTNet, pronounced 'sertnet')
provides theoretical support for synchrotron radiation and related experiments,
through a global, web-based network linking theoretical and experimental research
groups.
This site acts as the web centre for SRRTNet. It provides general information
concerning the network, announcements of workshops and conferences, and
provides an overview of the research activities of individual research groups
within the network, together with links to their web sites where more detailed
information can be found.
The aims and plans of the network are:
- To provide a central repository for information of relevance to synchrotron
radiation research
- To develop theoretical methods pertaining to the experiments performed
on synchrotron facilities
- To provide state of the art and user friendly software for the analysis
and interpretation of experiments
- To provide training in the use of relevant software through workshops
and site visits
- To host visiting scientists
- To hold periodic workshops for the dissemination of new results and
methodologies
The network gratefully acknowledges financial support from the European Union who
fund the European section of the Network under
contract number HPRI-CT-2000-40014.
Suggestions for other activities from the synchrotron community are welcome
and can be mailed to srrtnet@dl.ac.uk.
